The Giraffe Manor in Karen is, without question, one of the most iconic and photographed boutique hotels in Africa and one of the most celebrated addresses in all of luxury travel. Built in 1932 in the style of a Scottish hunting lodge, the Manor has achieved global fame for its remarkable resident herd of endangered Rothschild giraffes, who freely wander the property's expansive grounds and, to the delight of guests, regularly push their m agnificent heads through open windows and doors in search of their favoured pellet treats.
