The Journey

Masai Mara Private Safari

The Masai Mara is Kenya at its most cinematic: rolling grasslands, predator-rich plains, seasonal wildebeest movement, and private conservancies that reward slow, expert-led guiding.

This journey is shaped around wildlife timing, low-density game viewing, and camp placement across the reserve and adjacent conservancies, with Vard Africa planning the route, stays, guiding rhythm, and transfers around the way the destination naturally works.

Day by Day

Your Itinerary

Each day is presented in order, with the exact timing adjusted around flights, wildlife movement, and guest pace.

01

Day 1 - Fly to the Mara

Fly from Nairobi to the Mara and settle into camp. Begin with an afternoon game drive across open plains as the guide introduces the ecosystem.

02

Day 2 - Predator Country

Spend the day tracking lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, and plains game. The schedule remains flexible around wildlife movement and light.

03

Day 3 - Conservancy Access

Explore quieter conservancy terrain with the option for a night drive or walking experience where permitted. Sundowners close the day in the bush.

04

Day 4 - Migration Or Big Cat Focus

In migration season, position around herd movement and crossing corridors. Outside migration months, focus on resident predators and landscape storytelling.

05

Day 5 - Final Full Day

A final full day in the field with time for specialist interests such as photography, birding, or a balloon safari. Farewell dinner at camp.

06

Day 6 - Return To Nairobi

Enjoy a last morning drive before flying back to Nairobi for onward travel or a coast extension.
